Data Not Collected

Privacy Policy

TermLite is a local-only SSH client. We do not operate servers that receive your data, and we do not collect personal information through the app.

Effective date: July 2, 2026 · Last updated: July 2, 2026

At a glance

  • No account required — TermLite has no login, no backend, and no user database.
  • Data stays on your device — hosts, credentials, private keys, snippets, and settings are stored locally (Keychain and on-device storage).
  • Direct SSH connections — the app connects from your device straight to servers you configure. We do not proxy or inspect your traffic.
  • No analytics or tracking — we do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs that collect personal data.
  • App Store purchases only — Pro upgrades are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

1. Who we are

TermLite (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) is a local-only SSH client for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, published on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how TermLite handles information when you use the app and visit termlite.app.

If you have questions, contact us at support@termlite.app.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect personal data from you. TermLite has no account system, no cloud backend operated by us, and no analytics pipeline. The App Store privacy label for TermLite is Data Not Collected.

We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share:

Because we do not collect this data, we also cannot access, export, or delete it on your behalf — it never reaches us.

3. Information stored on your device

To function as an SSH client, TermLite stores configuration data locally on your device, including:

This data remains under your control. Deleting the app or using in-app wipe features removes local data from your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of anything you export.

4. Network connections

When you connect to a server, TermLite establishes an SSH or SFTP connection directly from your device to that server. We do not route your traffic through TermLite-operated infrastructure.

Servers you connect to — whether yours or a third party’s — may log connection metadata according to their own policies. That is outside TermLite’s control.

5. Optional device sync and backups

TermLite supports manual encrypted backup on all plans, and Premium iCloud Sync (optional) to keep hosts, snippets, and settings in your personal iCloud. If you enable iCloud or device backup, that data is governed by Apple’s policies for your Apple ID — not by a TermLite-operated server.

TermLite does not receive, host, or access data stored in your iCloud or device backups on any server we operate — because we do not operate such servers.

6. Purchases

TermLite Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payment and may collect information required for billing, fraud prevention, and receipt validation. We receive only purchase entitlement signals from Apple (for example, whether Pro is unlocked) — not your card number or billing address.

See Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles payment data.

7. This website

The TermLite marketing site (landing page) is a static site. We do not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site as shipped in this project. Standard web server or CDN logs (if any) at your hosting provider are governed by that provider’s policies.

8. Children’s privacy

TermLite is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Because TermLite does not collect personal data, typical data-access and deletion requests directed at us have nothing for us to retrieve. You can delete all local app data at any time by removing the app from your device or using in-app data-wipe features where available.

If you are in a jurisdiction with privacy rights (such as the EU/EEA, UK, or California), you may still contact us at support@termlite.app with questions about this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the revision. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
